Why can't drill mount (rimless frames) be used again?
I went to the eye doctor and they said I needed a whole new RIMLESS frame, and they couldn't use the old one.
Depends on how they are made. Most can be used again, they just don't want to take the risk of breaking them trying to take them apart plus you need to send them into the lab to have them cut & mounted so if you don't have a back up pair you are out of luck. plus they frequently break within 3 months of having new lenses put in them.
Aviators
